It’s that time of year where the YMCA in Hagerstown is gearing up for summer camps.
From traditional to specialty camps, the YMCA is offering a variety of choices. There’s soccer, volleyball and even baking (And yes, you get to eat the treats.) The camps are offered for children up to 18-years-old.
You can sign your child up for multiple classes and the camp day goes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Historically, the most registered camp is swimming and officials said as many as 200 students sign up.
“I think our specialty camps are a little more experienced this year and we have more experienced counselors with some of our newer camps so the kids will have a little more variety to their experience,” said Senior Program Director, Gail Lewis.
If you’d like to register your child, you can go to the YMCA and pay a $10 deposit. Payments are due one week before the camp starts and your child has to be at least five-years-old.
The first day of camp begins on June 20th.
