Hagerstown Regional Airport flies to Myrtle Beach

The Hagerstown Regional Airport announced Tuesday morning that they will be opening a flight to Myrtle Beach on June 6.

Allegiant Airlines is offering new nonstop service to South Carolina from the Washington County airport. The airport has been welcoming tip cards from customers looking for ways to improve, and director of the airport, Garrison Plessigner listened to the public.

“The staff has been working with Allegiant to try and get the Myrtle Beach destination because that’s been a lot of the drive from the customers and requests,” said Plessinger. “So, we actually have a little list there at the ticket counter that’s not solicited to sign it and say ‘Hey, we want Myrtle Beach.’ and I’m guessing that it’s paying off.”

Plessinger went on to say that the flight will only be available from June 6- mid-August, but will always listen to the public’s request.
