Hagerstown hypnotist acknowledges the Great American Smokeout

Maryland

Marie Hawse of Hagerstown Hypnosis acknowledges the American Cancer Society‘s Great American Smokeout, an event to encourage smokers to change their habits. It occurs every third Thursday of November.

Through her practice, Hawse performs hypnosis on her clients. According to her, each client has the option to have four sessions that are expected to aid in the non-smoking process.

Hawse believes the process to quit smoking is a day-by-day process.

“Its purpose is to encourage individuals to stop smoking, at least for the day, hoping that day will continue on … that they’ll want to become non-smokers,” said Hawse.

According to the American Cancer Society, smoking causes almost 480,000 deaths each year.
