Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County hosted their 4th annual Festa Italiana event at Rose Hill Manor Park this afternoon.
Community members had the chance to experience Italian culture while supporting Habitat for Humanity. The event had authentic Italian style music and more than 20 stands offering food from local Italian restaurants.
All proceeds generated from the event went towards house construction projects as well as home repair projects in Frederick County. Habitat for Humanity currently has 12 home maintenance projects.
“It’s just been a fun community event over the last couple of years. We get really good feedback from the community. It fits a niche that isn’t filled by anything else. There is a lot of cultural events that go on through the community but nobody else is doing an Italian festival and were proud to have that,” said Bethany Miller, community development director for Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County is currently finishing constructing a house in Brunswick.
