The Discovery Station in Hagerstown has been so busy this fiscal year that they are adding another full time position. The station stafff said it has had a huge increase in visitor attendance, and they need the help.
The director says 2018 was the busiest year for the station on record. In their 14th year of operation, they have seen a two percent increase in attendance. The new position will be all about marketing.
“Development and marketing coordinator, so basically this person will work alongside myself and the board of directors, write grants manage a database, work on events and help us move into this next phase of the museums’ growth,” Brittany Wedd said, the executive director. The museum is also working on two new exhibits that are focused on stem education.
