The Discovery Station in Hagerstown says they experienced their busiest year on record.
The station says they’ve made history for themselves after hosting over 20,000 visitors. The museum says people traveled from all over the world. The station has been up and running for 14 years in downtown Hagerstown.
The directors say it was the staff, volunteers and more that helped make this possible.
Brittany Webb, the executive director, explains what made the museum stand out in 2018.
“Part of the visitor increase is attributed to our rebranding initiatives where a few years ago we looked at our mission statement, the needs of our community, what our visitors wanted, and we determined that our mission was going to be focused on STEAM initiative programs, we were very proud and excited about that,” Wedd said.
Wedd adds the goal they set for this year is to reach 30,000 visitors.
