Dig Pink Weekend showing support for cancer survivors

Dig Pink Weekend kicked off at Heavy Metal Park on Friday evening.

Cancer survivors got to come out for a variety of events such as mini golf and go-karts, but the favorite event was smashing pink cars.

It gave survivors the opportunity to let off some steam and have some fun.

The cars were donated and spray painted pink.

Breast Cancer Awareness of Cumberland Valley put on the event and hopes to continue this each year.

“Some that like to come to camp hope where we craft and take a day to forget about the disease, and then I have other patients who just want to hit something. So this is a great way to do both,” said Stacy Horst, executive director of BCA of CV.

Anyone who wants to make a donation can do so to breast cancer awareness of Cumberland Valley so they can provide other free activities like these.
