Cumberland Police arrest four people involved in armed robberies

Maryland
According to Cumberland Police, four people were arrested in connection to two armed robberies in December.

22-year-old David Daughton and 16-year-old Shamere Washington are facing multiple charges, including armed robbery.

Police say they went into the Circle K convenience store on Oldtown Road on Christmas day and demanded cash with a gun. They then allegedly took an unknown amount of cash, cigarettes and other items. They’re being held without bond.

Police also arrested 20-year-old Shannon Broadway and 32-year-old Marcus Vaughn, who are also facing numerous charges, including home invasion.

Investigators say they, along with Shamere Washington, broke into a Grant Street home in Frostburg, hit the homeowner on the head with a gun then stole cash and electronics. Both incidents are still under investigation.
