Crews battled a house fire in Hagerstown

The fire was reported around 9 p.m. Sunday evening

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Crews battled a fire at a multi-residential structure in Hagerstown.

Around 9 p.m. Sunday, the Hagerstown Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 800 block of Mulberry Avenue. Animals were reported to be trapped in the house. According to Washington County dispatch, a patient is at Meritus Medical Center possibly awaiting transfer to a burn unit and there is a dog reported to have serious burns. The Humane Society is responding to the animal in need.
