A collision between a Greyhound Bus and tractor trailer on I-70 Eastbound in Washington County sent 30 people to the hospital Friday morning.
According to Maryland State Police, troopers were dispatched at 5:05 a.m. for the collision at the 32 MM on I-70 E. Investigation revealed that the Greyhound Bus rear-ended the tractor trailer, closing down all of I-70 E until about 7:45 a.m.
Washington County Emergency officials say that 46 passengers were on the bus, and 30 passengers were taken to Meritus Medical Center, all with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The uninjured passengers were taken to a nearby location, where they will be picked up by another Greyhound Bus being sent from Washington DC. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
