Charges filed in Hagerstown stabbing case

Following a domestic-related stabbing, Hagerstown Police have arrested and charged a woman in the case.

Sierra Nicole Kasper, 28, has been charged with first and second-degree assault after police were called to a residence at 25 1/2 West Franklin Street in Hagerstown for a report of an assault in progress.

According to Officer Heather Aleshire, investigators determined that during an argument, Kasper threw a knife at the victim.

The victim, a 21-year-old man, was taken to Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown for treatment of his injuries. As of Wednesday afternoon, he remain was in stable condition, Aleshire said.

Kasper was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center where she is currently being held without bond.

“It was a domestic-related incident, so the suspect was still on the scene. That’s what lead to such a quick arrest,” Aleshire said.
