Beauty shop in Hagerstown gives free haircuts all day for soft opening

It’s been seven months since a Long Time Beauty Shop in Hagerstown has been closed, and now, a new one is taking its place.

Creative Styles in Hagerstown opened up for business just two months ago, and they’re cutting and clipping away.

Hagerstown Resident Willie Moore came in Friday morning for a fresh haircut, free of charge. He says it couldn’t have come at a better time.

“I start a new job on Monday. Gotta get cleaned up!” said Moore.

Hair stylist Tokeya Medley says since it’s opening, the business has given her a great opportunity to do what makes her shine.

“I didn’t want to do perms and rods and rollers all day. I just wanted to cut hair,” said Medley.

The beauty salon offers a variety of services from hair, manicure to eyebrows. For local residents like Moore, this small local business is a big help.

“She’s doing great. She’s going to be my new barber,” said Moore.

The shop is currently going through renovations, and is expected to be completed in two months.

It is located at 16 East Washington Street in Hagerstown, Maryland.
