Albowicz celebrates retirement, honored by county commissioners

Julianna Albowicz is known as a local leader in Washington County. Many residents celebrate her as she is nearing retirement.

Washington County Commissioners presented a proclamation to Albowicz for her dedication and service to the community. Many former and current colleagues attended the May 7 Board of County Commissioners meeting in honor of her.

Albowicz served as a council member for the town of Clear Spring. She then progressed to the office of vice-mayor of Clear Spring, Maryland.

On the national level, the former council member served as the special assistant in Western Maryland to former United States Senator Barbara Mikulski for several years.

She currently is the outreach director in Western Maryland for United States Senator Chris Van Hollen.
