The city of Hagerstown is preparing for the 3rd annual “parks fitness challenge.”
Participants of all ages can engage in 30 days of physical activity in any of the city’s 22 parks.
Challengers will choose from a list of 70 different activities that includes walking, jumping, or turning a park bench into a total body workout.
Hagerstown parks and recreation explain the goal of this annual event.
“Along the way you’ll be incentives with weekly emails, motivational tips and you’ll be able to choose your own adventure so you’ll go on our website with over 70 adventures to choose from that you can do daily, weekly we want you to complete as many challenges as you can in 30 days,” Amy Riley said, recreation coordinator. Challengers will have the entire month of May to complete as many activities as possible.
