The Maryland Department of Natural Resources just made it a little easier for boat owners to renew their vessel registration thanks to new online services.
The department announced that boat owners can now renew their licenses through the department’s online licensing and registration service or through the MVA’s administration e-store.
Officials said users only need their full identification and vessel numbers to complete the transaction.
Once completed, officials said the customer will get a receipt that will serve as a 30-day temporary registration, which should be kept on the vessel at all times.
Original registration and decals will be sent by mail within 10 business days.
People can still renew their vessels through the mail or in-person at the department’s regional service centers and MVA kiosks.
