A high profile case involving a Berkley County business was finalized Monday, and one man will spend up to ten years in prison.
Joseph Pugh, Jr. pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement.
Following a plea deal signed in May, Pugh was sentenced to pay back $95,000 to his former employer Heiston Supply Company.
First, he will serve five years of probation to repay the company and then will serve the prison sentence.
Court documents said, after finding about $400 missing last July, the President of Heiston Supply Company launched an internal audit and discovered that money was just the tip of the iceberg.
Pugh stole more than $170,000 over a seven-year period.
