The State’s Attorney for Frederick County announced that Corey Grant, 45, of Frederick, Md pleaded guilty Tuesday to first-degree assault, home invasion and conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary.

This stems from an incident on Aug. 25, 2015. The Frederick Police Department responded to a private residence after receiving multiple calls for a disturbance.

They said three masked individuals entered the residence. Two of the intruders kept children out of the home, while Grant took an adult female to a bedroom and assaulted her.

The victim was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital after suffering multiple bruises, burns and abrasions.

Grant was arrested on August 30, 2015. He will be sentenced on March 29, 2016 and will remain in the custody of the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
