Locals learn comfort techniques during labor process in Winchester

News

Childbirth Educator Jillian Freeland shared comfort measures and different physical hands-on positions at the Just Birth class on Tuesday evening in Winchester.

Freeland showed and lectured attendees on how birth scarves, essential oils and heated rice socks can be good comforting measures during the labor process.

Rachel Kent, who is pregnant, said she learned a lot and will incorporate during her labor.

“I learned a lot of different comfort measures for labor and delivery,” Kent said. “I learned using different props – like exercise balls and peanuts.”

The next Just Birth class will be held on the second Tuesday of March. Classes are free and open to everyone.
