A man was arrested and is facing multiple charges for burglarizing a home in Woodbridge.

Police say 20-year old Melvin Alvarenga-Rodriguez has been arrested and charged with possession of a firearm and conspiracy to commit grand larceny. 

Officers say they responded to a home on the 1,700 Block of Potomac View Ave. around 5 p.m. on February 3rd.  The investigation revealed that two suspects entered the home through a window and got away with jewelry and a safe containing 5 firearms and a rifle.

Police say the other suspect was a 17-year old female who was a family member of the victim. She has also been arrested and is being held at a juvenile detention facility.

None of the stolen weapons were recovered.
