In Pennsylvania, Tuesday is the last day to register to vote.
Registrar officials in Franklin County said residents still have until midnight to register online.
Employees have been working all day, sorting through mail, answering questions and watching hundreds of people register online.
Officials said, in Franklin County, they have made it past the 90,000 mark, which is an all-time high when it comes to registered voters in the county.
“It is important to vote, not just for the presidential election. It is important for next year, our municipal elections. Then you are voting for township supervisors, your school board candidates, and they are the ones that affect your life on a more local level,” said Jennie Aines, Franklin County Chief Registrar.
Officials said there are plenty of state races to look out for, and there is a referendum on the ballot on the retiring age for judges.
