Vote-by-mail initiative unrolled in Rockville

On your marks, get set, grab a pen! Election day is coming on November the 5th and Rockville is the first city in Maryland to vote by mail for election for Mayor and council members this year.

May 1 is when candidate application information was first available for those who wish to run for office.

All voters will receive a mail-in ballot and can either mail back their filled in ballot, or simply drop it off at city hall.

As a reminder, voter registration deadline is October 11, 2019, so be sure to register beforehand.

City officials say the unanimous “ballot to your mailbox” decision is intended to increase voting from Rockville residents.
