Tips from the Frederick Police to survive the wet roads

As rain continued to pour throughout Monday, Police urge drivers to be extra careful on the roads.

In Frederick, police say there was flooding mainly on Monocacy Boulevard. They say drivers need to be aware of large standing puddles of water. They say don’t drive through them because there’s no telling how deep they can be, and remember the motto “turn around, don’t drown”.

“We’re also seeing because we’ve had some winds, some debris on the roads, so we want people to take it slow if they’re out there driving today,” said Frederick Police Department’s Community Outreach Coordinator, Michele Bowman.

Rain has caused flooding up and down the coast, all the way up to New York
