Stations of the Cross procession filled streets of Takoma Park

Hundreds of Christians celebrated Good Friday by Stations of the Cross procession.

Every year, religious groups plan a procession hosted by the Saint Camillus Catholic Church. The groups walk through neighborhoods in Takoma Park and Silver Spring.

The religious walkers stop at every few miles for prayer sessions with the community throughout the city. There were also demonstrations and reenactments inspired by stories of biblical days.

The parade lasted for three hours and blocked off several intersections.
