Princesses were seen running in Baker Park Saturday afternoon to raise money for a local non-profit.

The “Dude Runs Like A Princess” 1K run was created by Sophie and Madigan’s Playground, a Frederick, Maryland non-profit.

The non-profit was created in 2015 after Chrissi Lilliard and her husband lost their two daughters in a house fire.

Now, they’re raising money to build a playground in their memory and the fundraising involves runners dressing up like a princess.

“A friend will donate x amount of dollars for them to wear a certain item, so it’s everything from tutu’s to tiaras. So of them do full-on costumes, like we have Moana here today,” said Chrissi Lillard.

The run raised $1,500 in donations that will go towards building a public playground.
