Update: Frederick Police have released an image of two suspects involved in an armed robbery of a CVS Pharmacy.
Police are investigating an armed robbery at the only 24-hour pharmacy in Frederick.
Officers with the Frederick Police Department responded to the CVS Pharmacy along the 400 block of South Jefferson Street at about 4:30 A.M. Monday.
Employees reported seeing two black males, both about 20-years-old, robbing the pharmacy and escaping with prescription narcotics.
Police say employees saw that at least one of the suspects had a handgun.
“One of the gentlemen jumped over the counter, got the pharmacist to get into the safe removing an undisclosed amount of medications,” explained spokesman for the Frederick Police Department, Michele Bowman.
Police are urging anyone with more information about the incident to contact Detective Matt Irons at 240-674-8942.
