A Rockville man has been arrested following a violent knife attack in Montgomery County.

Rockville City Police officers took in Roopinder Sangh, 51, and charged him with attempted first degree murder.

The attack came at the 900 block of Rollins Avenue in Rockville on Saturday morning, November 10.

Investigating officers found that Sangh had allegedly parked his car and waited for another vehicle to pull up, which contained his wife and another man.

When that car came, Sangh allegedly approached the male victim and attacked him with a concealed knife.

The victim was able to flee to a nearby hospital where he collapsed with life threatening injuries.

“He was stabbed several times in both the front and the back of his torso,” Rockville City Officer Andy Crawford. “That is always a concern. We interviewed her as she witnessed the attack. We did not learn any of that and I do not believe they reside together.”

Sangha was taken to the Montgomery county detention center where he is currently being held on $15,000 bond.
