Piper’s Walk aims to protect dogs in the event of a car accident

After a Montgomery County woman’s dog was killed in a car accident, she’s trying to keep others pets safe.

Last year, the founder of Piper’s Walk was in a car accident where her dog, piper lost her life. The owner said a seat belt saved her life, but she didn’t even think to have piper strapped in.

Because many pet owners don’t think about the consequences, she put on the event to raise awareness and give tips on how to keep your pets safe when driving around.

“I wanted to just raise the awareness so we can learn to keep our dogs safe in cars so no one has to go through what I had to go through losing piper,” said Paweenudh Suanpan, Piper’s Walk Director.
