The Montgomery County Muslim Foundation held its annual food drive on Sunday for those in need of a nourishing meal at Giant Grocery stores in Montgomery County.
A good-hearted family stood outside of Giant for hours, passing out information about MCMF and asking those who were willing to help to donate food.
The food drive supports MANNA which is a non profit organization that is hoping to end hunger through food distribution, education and advocacy.
Nadeem Chaudry, said he believes in the MANNA mission and wants his kids to grow up learning a very important life lesson.
“It gives them an idea that not everyone is as fortunante as themselves and they need to go out and do something to help the needy people,” he said.
MANNA is also being supported by the Montgomery County’s Ride on Bus Service this week. Passengers can donate food instead of paying the fare from Sunday until Saturday May 4th which will continue this wonderful pursuit of helping others in the area.
