Man faces multiple charges after driving car into police cruiser

A Clear Spring man is facing multiple charges in Frederick County, Maryland including aggravated assault of an officer.

Deputies say Johnathan Shevock, 28, was pulled over Monday for an inoperable tag light along Route 15 and Motter Avenue.

According to the sheriff’s office, Shevock appeared nervous and was unable to provide a clear answer about his travels when question- that sparked a K-9 search.

Deputies say Shevock refused to exit the car for the search, and become agitated and aggressive.

Other deputies and officers with the Frederick Police Department arrived on scene to assist. At least one cruiser was parked in front of Shevock’s car to prevent it from moving away.

Deputies tried to remove Shevock from the car before he eventually accelerated into a parked cruiser.

He was eventually restrained and inside the car, deputies found two loaded guns, suspected heroin, $1,744 in cash and other paraphernalia.

Shevock now faces a total of five charges.
