Jefferson man accused of murdering his girlfriend indicted with first degree murder

A Jefferson, Maryland man accused of murdering his girlfriend has been indicted by a Frederick County grand jury.

Chris Myers, 39, was indicted with one count of first degree murder. Myers waived his right to a bond review earlier on May 3, 2019.

The victim, 24-year-old Heather Williams, was reported missing by her family on May 1.

The following day, she was found dead inside of her home that she shared with Myers in the 4500 block of Jefferson Pike. Myers was arrested by the Baltimore Police Department. He was driving Williams’ car where police found blood-stained items.

Myers is still being held without bond at the Frederick County Detention Center.

The maximum sentence for first degree murder is life without parole.
