Frederick officials hold panel discussion to get public’s input

Officials held a panel discussion which focused on public interests in Frederick.
 
Many in the community came out to discuss concerns they have in Frederick. Discussions included what the best interests were for the people of Frederick. They also talked about how the local government can give constituents what they want, and the extent to which there are differences and similarities among individuals representing different levels of government.
 
Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner along with State Senator Ron Young were in attendance.
 
The moderator, Jordan Cooper, wants to be sure people know what their local government officials can do for them. 
 
“Many viewers may not know what an alderman does, who their alderman is, or who their state senator is. I hope to raise the profile of our public servants,” said Cooper, Host, Public Interest Podcast.
 
Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner said public engagement is an effective way to keep constituents happy.
