A Frederick, Maryland man has been charged for impersonating a police officer.

Miguel Ralda, 29, is currently being held on a no bond status.

When he was arrested on Wednesday night, deputies from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office found police related items in the truck of his car, including handguns. Ralda was pulled over after a deputy saw a yellow mustang driving in the Ballenger Creek area with blue LED lights. When questioned, Ralda identified himself as a police office, but deputies were aware of reports of a police impersonator in that area.

Ralda is facing four charges: impersonating a police officer and three counts of handgun in a vehicle. The charges are misdemeanors.

If anyone has had any contact with Mr. Ralda portraying himself as a law enforcement officer, the Sheriff’s Office asks you call Det. Mike Toste at 301-600-3610.
