A fire in Silver Spring has displaced a family, and caused about $30,000 in damages.
Fire officials say just after 8 p.m. Tuesday, about 45 firefighters responded to the 9900 block of Colesville Rd.
It’s believed the fire started because of a light bulb that was too close to combustible materials. A passerby noticed the fire and alerted authorities.
