A fire destroyed a popular restaurant in Rockville, Md. overnight.

According to Montgomery County PIO Pete Piringer, roughly 75 firefighters were called around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, to battle the blaze at Hank Dietle’s Tavern, in the 11000 block of Rockville Pike.

They were able to knock down the flames in about 15 minutes, but not before major damage caused the building to be considered close to a total loss.

Officials expect that discarded smoking materials caused the fire, which originated on the porch. No injuries were reported, but the estimated damages are totaled at $500,000.
