Deputies release name of Frederick church shooting suspect

Police have identified a man believed to have been involved in the shooting at a Frederick church earlier this month.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s office is looking for 27-year-old Demar Cortze Allen of Germantown in connection to the April 20 shooting.

Multiple police agencies responded to the shooting at Jackson’s Chapel along Ballenger Creek Pike in Frederick.

The incident happened during a funeral service and two victims suffered gunshot wounds.

Anyone with information about Allen’s whereabouts is urged to contact deputies.
