County and college launch collaborative program

I-270

The Montgomery College has partnered with Montgomery County’s Department of Housing and Community Affairs to create a new program that will train those who work in senior living facilities.

On September 12, county and college leaders met for the official launch of the year-long course called “Understanding Aging.” Experts have worked for the past year on building the curriculum for the program.

County employees will be the first students of the course. They’ll work in the Center for Training Excellence, which was just expanded in order to help businesses, nonprofits and government agencies.
