UPDATE: 9 year old, hit by her school bus, dies

BETHESDA, Md. (WDVM) — Police are investigating the school bus crash that killed a 9-year-old girl Thursday afternoon.

Montgomery County Police say the girl got off the school bus with several other students around 3:45, and as the bus turned right from Tanglewood Drive onto Millwood Rd., the 9-year-old was hit.

She was taken to Children’s National Hospital where she later died of her injuries.

No other students were injured. Police have identified the driver of the school bus as Serigne Makhtar Ndiaye, 53, of Severn Maryland.
