No matter who wins the big game this weekend, police want you to get home safely.
The big game is one of the biggest drinking holidays and one third of traffic deaths are caused by drunk drivers on this day. With so many options available, officers say, there’s no excuse for getting behind the wheel impaired.
“There’s plenty of ride sharing programs and plenty of alternatives to get home after having a good time at the Super Bowl as opposed to potentially driving intoxicated which could lead to a serious collision or somebody potentially getting killed,” said Officer Rick Goodale with Montgomery County Police.
If you’re hosting a party, officials say to close the bar at least an hour before the event ends.
