As the Mayor of the City of Frederick prepares his upcoming budget, the Frederick Community Action Agency (FCAA) presented theirs.
The agency provides food, shelter, medical care, housing, and other assistance to families and individuals who need a helping hand. So far, FCAA has been able to expand their program operation including picking up the operation of the Child and Adult Care Food Program for family child care homes.
In the upcoming year, the non-profit organization hopes to convert the transitional shelter into housing, for permanent supportive housing.
“There are some things in there that we need to and we make improvements all long, but some cosmetic changes that we want to make…primarily cosmetic changes,” said CCAP/Director, Mike Spurrier.
The next hearing for the budget is general government such as legal, human resources, risk, safety and compliance, and finance which will be on Monday April 22nd. To find more information on the upcoming budget, click here.
