Asian Pacific American Festival in Frederick, Maryland brings community together

May marks Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and inFrederick, Maryland on Saturday, Asian culture was on full display.

There was  tasty food, lively music, dancing and much more.

The festival started with opening remarks, followed by dance and musical performances.

Josh Brown, a visitor, says it is important for everyone to be open-minded about other cultures and take the opportunity to learn from their neighbors.

“We are very happy to bring a diverse culture to share with the residents and visitors.” said Executive Director of the Asian American Center Elizabeth Chung.”It is our gift from our center to the community.”
