Updates on voter turnout in Frederick County, Md.

Election Maryland

Board of Elections Director Stuart Harvey says they have been working since the crack of dawn to make sure all polling stations in Frederick County, Maryland are operating smoothly.

“Just helping our election judges if they have any questions as they’re setting up or getting ready to open for the voters,” said Harvey.

Harvey gave insight to how the precincts were swinging throughout the day. He says Frederick County is the largest County throughout the State in terms of mass.

Harvey says there was a great turnout at the polls throughout the day, and he says the numbers show that the rain did not slow voters down.

“This is my second time voting, and it was a real good experience,” said Rhonda Simms of Frederick County. “It wasn’t quite what I thought it would be, but at the end it was, and it was nice.”

“I’ve been voting… since I was able to vote,” said Jason Cornell of Frederick County. “Nothing changed… like how they had the process streamlined, I was pretty much in, out and done.”
