BREAKING: Maryland numbers delayed

Election Maryland

Although polls in the state of Maryland were intended to close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the results coming in  will be delayed, according to the Maryland State Board of Elections.

A post on the state’s website read: “Results will not be posted until all polls have closed.”

Several media reports indicate that Prince George’s County ran out of paper ballots, leading to a delay in polls closing. Election officials in Prince George’s County could not be reached for confirmation Tuesday.

Barry Jackson, of the Washington County Board of Elections confirmed shortly before 9 p.m., when results for all Maryland races were still showing zero results, that the counties would not be releasing any numbers until all the polls across the state closed.
