‘Christkindle Markt’ comes to downtown Hagerstown this holiday season

A first of its kind traditional German Christmas market is coming to Hagerstown this year.

And what’s a German festival without warm “adult” beverages, music, food and Santa!

Main Street Hagerstown is bringing a new, annual ‘Christkindle Markt’ to downtown this year.

It’ll take place on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Main Street Hagerstown hopes to make the festival several days long but will start with one for its first year.

“It’s family-friendly. There will be vendors there selling things. There will be food. There will be hot chocolate. It sounds like a really great time,” said Bob Bruchey, Mayor of Hagerstown.

So far, 20 vendors have signed up to participate.
