Bipartisan support for background check enforcement

Capitol Review

It’s unusual that a gun law has bipartisan support.

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pennsylvania) and Sen. Chris Coons (D-Delaware) are working together to better enforce current law that prevents convicted felons and others from buying weapons. It would require federal authorities to alert state law enforcement when potential gun buyers fail a background check.

Morgan Wright reports.
