After a tweet that turned viral, the person behind the tweet is no longer an employee of Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS).

On Jan 5th, a student tweeted “close school tammarow PLEASE”. But as you can see, tomorrow was misspelled and Katie Nash, who was the Web Services Coordinator of FCPS, responded to the student with, “but, how would you learn how to spell ‘tomorrow’ 🙂 .”

WHAG talked with Nash on Friday, who confirmed that she was the one that sent the tweet and she also said that she has been fired from FCPS. Nash received a termination letter on Friday after she met with Michael Doerrer, who is the Director of Communications, Community Engagement & Marketing with FCPS. WHAG contacted Doerrer who confirmed that “she no longer is an employee by FCPS.”
