An Adamstown barn was completely destroyed by a fire Wednesday morning.
Fire officials received the call around 11:52 a.m. and arrived on the scene at 1931 Greenfield Road.
Officials said it took 50 firefighters nearly an hour to contain the fire.
The barn was one of the largest structures on Waverly Farm and was used to store equipment.
Most of the equipment was destroyed, but officials reported that nobody was injured.
Because of the location of the farm, firefighters initially struggled to find a source of water.
“As we didn’t have a hydrant, and we were able to find a hydrant close by, so we laid out 2,500 feet of a large supply line to bring water back to the scene,” said Chief Mike Smallwood, Carroll Manor Fire Company.
Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire. They said the structure was a complete loss.
