Originally from the Boston area, Rachael Espaillat traded lobster rolls for po-boys to attend Loyola University New Orleans. There, she realized her passion for story telling, receiving a degree in Journalism.
Between freelancing for NOLA.com/the Times Picayune and reporting for Loyola's News service, she's covered a wide range of stories including Mardi Gras parades and breaking news on the heroin epidemic in New Orleans.
Rachael Espaillat joined the WDVM team in late October and is excited to pursue her dream of reporting in the four-state region.
When Rachael isn't chasing a story you can find her trying new restaurants, listening, or exploring new cities.
