UPDATE: Frederick County Sheriff's Office drops charges against physician

Back in August, Dr. Jillian Call's house was struck by lightning

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Frederick County, Va. Sheriff's Office has dropped charges against a Winchester Medical Center Doctor after an incident that occurred when her house was hit by lightning.

Back in August, Dr. Jillian Call tried to run into her burning home to save her chickens and a deputy stopped her from going in.

According to Sheriff Lenny Millholland, she was then arrested for obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct.

Dr. Call and deputies recently had a conversation to explain each person's perspectives during the incident that led to the arrest. The deputies realized Dr. Call's conduct was not of ill intent, and she acknowledged deputies acted within their legal authority.
