Two arrested for armed robbery at convienence store

The suspects fled the scene, but officials caught up with them

WINCHESTER, Va. - Two people were arrested this morning in Winchester for an armed robbery at a local convenience store.

Twenty-three-year old Daniel Payano and 22-year old Elvin Gervasio were charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit a robbery.

Winchester Police said the two men entered the store in the 700-block of North Loudoun Street with a handgun and demanded money.

The employees gave up the money, and the suspects fled.

Soon after, officers located them on Thomas Court.

Nobody was injured, but several pistols were seized.

Both suspects are being held at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.
