WINCHESTER, Va. - Seventy people enjoyed their first official day of work at the brand new Mopar auto parts distribution center in Winchester on Wednesday.
The distribution center celebrated the grand opening of the 400,000 plus square foot facility on Tuesday.
Officials said the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group, also known as FCA, invested more than $12 million into the project. Officials estimate they will ship more than 9 million pieces annually to their 200 dealers.
FCA officials said the facility will be LEED certified, meaning it will be classified as a green building.
The auto parts center is located at 80 Tyson Drive, within Stonewall Industrial Park.
